Tuesday will be full of excitement with the women's 1500m and the men's 3000m steeplechase. Soufiane El Bakkali is the defending world champion and the reigning Olympic champion, but Ethiopia’s Lamecha Girma will be ready to challenge him for the title in the steeplechase.
Women's discus will also take place on Tuesday and last year in Oregon, China’s Feng Bin pulled off one of the bigger upsets when she upstaged home favorite Valarie Allman and perennial champion Sandra Perkovic to win the women’s discus. In qualifying on Sunday, the three were grouped together and the round finished with Allman at the front followed by Feng and Perkovic.
Mutaz Barshim and Gianmarco Tamberi finished in a tie for the men's high jump title in Tokyo and on Tuesday, the two will go head to head again, but there will be a number of men ready to unseat the men as champions.
Tune in Tuesday afternoon as these incredible athletes take to their respective events to try their hand at a world title.
